DWG to PDF
Upload a DWG file and get the drawing as a PDF on A4 or A3: model space or every layout, colours as drawn or black, layers kept as PDF layers. Free and online.
Got a DWG drawing and just need to see it — without AutoCAD? Upload the file and get the whole model space as a landscape PDF sheet with layers preserved, the file's unit and overall size in the header, and every layout as its own page if you want. Pure vector, so the plan zooms and prints sharp. DWG files are read in most versions from AutoCAD 2000 to 2018.
Frequently Asked Questions
- What is in the PDF?
- A landscape A4 or A3 sheet with the whole model space scaled to fit, plus a header with file name, unit, overall size and layer count. Choose all layouts and you get one page per layout.
- Are layers preserved?
- Yes. Every layer in the drawing becomes a PDF layer (optional content) that can be toggled in Acrobat and other readers that support layers. On extra layout pages the layers are flattened.
- What scale is used?
- The drawing is scaled so the whole model space fills the sheet. It is an overview sheet, not a 1:50 plot — the overall size in the header shows the real dimensions in the file's unit.
- Which DWG versions work?
- Most DWG files saved in AutoCAD 2000–2018 format. Newer or unusual files may fail — save as AutoCAD 2013 DWG or export as DXF instead.
- What about text, dimensions and hatches?
- Text, dimensions, hatches and blocks are drawn as vectors. Fonts missing on the server are replaced by a standard font, so placement is right but the look may differ slightly.
- Is my drawing stored?
- No. The file is processed on servers in the Nordics and deleted automatically within 24 hours. You get a certificate of deletion.
- Can I use SketchUp or Revit files?
- Not directly. Export as DWG or DXF from SketchUp Pro, Revit or ArchiCAD and upload that file here.
- Can I open a DWG file without CAD software?
- Here you can. You get the drawing as a PDF without installing AutoCAD, BricsCAD or anything else — enough to read the plan, send it to a client or print it.
